Try a Trend: Wear a Beanie!

Trends are bullshit. Sorry guys but it´s true. Well maybe they are not complete shit, but they are something truly ridiculous. Think about this; one day you hate geisha shoes, and then Prada says “Geisha shoes are OK”. The next day you find yourself wearing those horrible shoes because someone else told you it´s cool. It´s losing your own identity and waiting for the approval of someone in order to wear something you like. You can say that I don´t dress properly, but I sure have fun by using whatever I want to wear.

Even though I try to maintain myself apart from trends, I always end up being part of this whole vice. Yes guys; sometimes it´s hard to break up with the system. 

This season I am completely obsessed with beanies! Well, actually I´ve had been obsessed with this accessory since I was a teenager. I don´t know why, but there is something very appealing into wearing something in your head. I guess that whenever I see someone wearing a beanie, I instantly relate it to one word: sexy. So this season everyone is wearing beanies, at any hour, and with any outfit. That´s something cool because usually I only wore beanies when there was a lot of cold. Now you can wear them whenever you want. The other day I decided to wear a new emerald beanie that I just bought. In my office everyone told me that it was cool, but my head screamed “Get me out of here!!!!!!! I´m sweating like a pig”. That was the moment in which I realized that trends aren´t meant to fit every climate. It´s funny how you see stylish people on streetstyle blogs wearing the trend and looking perfectly cool, and when you wear you don´t look stylish and you look like if you are going to die due to the heat. Maybe my mistake was to wear it on a Friday with a very hot weather, but let me tell you something; I definitely looked cool! You know what they say “Fashion is not meant to be comfortable”. So go out and try this trend even if you live in a beach!!!!
